Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we accept most insurance plans. Our commitment is to provide one-on-one quality care in a peaceful setting while ensuring accessibility to those in need. Once you book an appointment, we’ll verify your eligibility and benefits before your arrival.

  • What does a pelvic floor evaluation involve?

A pelvic floor evaluation includes a general physical therapy assessment of strength, range of motion, and movement analysis. If indicated by your intake forms, a pelvic exam may be recommended.

  • What does a pelvic exam involve?

Our pelvic exams are gentle and respectful. Without using stirrups or a speculum, your therapist will insert a lubricated, gloved finger to assess pelvic floor muscle strength and identify any areas of pain. You have the right to decline the internal exam at any time.

  • How many visits will I need to get better?

Each case is unique, but we typically recommend scheduling 4–6 visits, usually once a week for an hour. If you achieve your goals sooner, remaining appointments can be adjusted accordingly.

  • I live far away and can't travel weekly or I can't afford to come that often. Can I still make progress?

Absolutely. We strive to accommodate your schedule, budget, and availability by offering telehealth physical therapy services if you can’t make it to the office.

  • I can't find childcare for my children. Can I bring them with me?

Yes! You can bring your children. Whitney, our founder, is a mom to four children so she designed our clinic to be kid-friendly. With prior notice, we may even be able to offer in-office childcare.

  • Do you treat men?

No, we do not treat men. However, we are happy to refer you to a therapist who does.

  • What conditions do you treat?

We specialize in treating various pelvic health concerns, including incontinence, prolapse, pain with intimacy, pelvic pain, pregnancy-related discomfort, and postpartum wellness.

  • Is pelvic floor physical therapy only about doing Kegels?

No, pelvic floor physical therapy encompasses much more than Kegel exercises. Our treatments are tailored to your specific needs and may include manual therapy, biofeedback, and personalized exercise programs.

  • What should I wear to my appointment?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows easy movement, such as workout attire. This enables us to assess your movement and perform treatments effectively.
